Disco label boss Henry Stone dies

At the spiritedly young in heart age of 93, the legendary Miami based founder of the world famous distribution outlet T.K. Records, Henry Stone recently passed away (August 7, 2014).   Stone proved to be a formidable force with the sound of R 'n' B and club land.  After setting up TK records and partnering labels in the 1960's, as well as having made a huge mark with international hits for the likes of KC & The Sunshine Band, George McCrae. Latimore, Betty Wright, and his work with big names stars such as the late James Brown, bands like T-Connection, and solo artists such as Bobby Caldwell and many other names.

And for all those times you've shaken your booty down at the discoteque, the next you're there put in some extra sweat on the dance floor if you hear 'Saturday Night' by T-Connection or KC & The Sunshine Band's 'Do You Wanna Go Party' for the Stone, they called Henry.
